Gone Fishing

Our son just got back from Fish Camp. Not a fish camp where one catches gilled creatures that live in the water...

... but rather one that brainwashes indoctrinates explains customs and traditions of Texas A&M to new students.

He'll be a freshman there this fall. It's going to be interesting to watch, because he wasn't really into the 'school spirit' thing in high school. It's a whole 'nother story at A&M. True Aggies live and breath their history and traditions, and Fish Camp does a very effective job of embedding them deep into the brains of impressionable teenagers.

He's lounging around the house now wearing a variety of maroon clothing. Nothing against A&M - it's actually a very good school - but that's one of the ugliest colors on God's green earth.

And I'm not just saying that because I graduated from the University of Texas, where the predominate color is that beautiful burnt orange...
