The A/C in my little apartment is struggling to keep the place at some semblance of cool.
I have a dry, sticky mouth, a slight headache, and I'm a little light headed - all symptoms of dehydration.
I'd better go consume some cold beverages and take it easy...
UPDATE: the high temp today topped out at 108 degrees. It's almost enough to make me believe in global warming.

It has been warm here in southern OK, with the wind howling. Suppose to storm tomorrow and be lots cooler. The Shiner looks pretty darn good.
Yeah, my home in Central Texas is expecting severe thunderstorms and possibly hail tonight and tomorrow. The front will hopefully work its way down here. Forecast for South Texas is for highs 'only' in the mid-80s tomorrow.
And the Shiner tasted better than it looked...
One day later and northwest Texas and western Oklahoma have sleet freezing rain and temps in the teens and 20's. At least here in eastern OK it's only rain and thunderstorms.
Yeah, down here we're 30 degrees cooler. What a difference a day makes.
