Truth In A Nutshell

I am not at all familiar with the political process in Luxembourg, or with any of their political figures. However, I think I could learn to like the prime minister, Jean-Claude Juncker, based on a single quote of his:
“We all know what to do, we just don’t know how to get re-elected after we have done it.”

If they did it right they'd get reelected in a heartbeat.

Mel, you are 100% right. IMO this country hungers for someone -- anyone -- who will do the right thing if elected.

Trouble is far too many people (voters) think the right candidates are the ones who give (promise) them freebees.

Republicans/Conservatives are asking the country's voters to be independent of central government and show some self-discipline. That's not exactly number one on the current generation's hit parade.

One of my college sociology teachers way back in the 1960's told me the average TV commercial is aimed at the 8th grade mental level cause that's the widest part of the American citizen's intellectual "Bell Curve".

I believe that's the very same reasoning why Democrats under Obama are getting so much traction currently.

Toejam - 8th grade? I think you're giving them too much credit.
