Friday Follies Happy Hour 2011.10.07

Ol' Bocephus has taken a little flak lately for a comment he made allegedly equating Hitler with obama. What he actually did was go a little overboard when talking about the 'golf summit' between obama and House Speaker John Boehner.
“You remember the golf game they had, ladies and gentlemen? Remember the golf game? That was one of the biggest political mistakes ever,” Williams said. “That turned a lot of people off. It just didn’t go over.”

“Come on, come on,” the country performer continued. “It would be like Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu...
He didn't call obama Hitler. He just tried to draw an analogy highlighting the incongruency of two political opposites pretending to interact cordially.

Of course, the MSM jumped all over it. ESPN showed its true colors by dropping Hank Jr. from Monday Night Football (Indianapolis without Peyton Manning vs. Tampa Bay with ... who? ... yawn).

Hank Jr. compounded the whole mess by apologizing - repeatedly - then saying, in essence, "You can't fire me. I quit". Very disappointing.

Anyway, regardless of all that nonsense, today we have a rare two-fer Happy Hour celebrating Ol' Bocephus celebrating America. First is a little ditty about the current state of affairs in America today...

.. followed by a more upbeat declaration that America will survive!

Enjoy...

It is kind of strong to be compared with Hitler in any way. I hope nobody is like him or think the way he used to think about people that were not exactly like him. Last year I travelled to Argentina and noticed they have a very good understanding of what happened at the war. I decided to rent an apartment in buenos aires so that I could stay longer to go to museums they have related to this matter. I learnt a lot!
