That's why things like this drive me up a friggin' wall.
Beyonce is one of the world's most scrutinized pop stars, and now that study is moving to academia.JFC - where to begin...?
The Department of Women's and Gender Studies at Rutgers University is offering a course called "Politicizing Beyonce."
Kevin Allred, a doctoral student who is teaching the class, tells the university's online news site that he is using Beyonce's career as a way to explore American race, gender and sexual politics.
Exploring some overblown celebrity's career "as a way to explore American race, gender and sexual politics?" What an absurd idea.
If you must waste time on such a nonsensical topic, at least chose meaningful subjects. I don't necessarily agree with all their political stances, but excellent examples might include Mary Bethune, Shirley Chisholm, Barbara Jordan, and Condoleezza Rice.
These ladies, and many others, are worthy of study because they made significant contributions and changes to our country's fabric. What did Beyonce ever do, besides swivel her hips, shake her tits, and caterwaul around a stage? If some graduate student wanna-be-professor yearns to "explore American race, gender and sexual politics" then he should focus on people who were involved in the front lines of those struggles.
Not some silicone-enhanced jiggle queen whose influence goes absurdly beyond what it should...

And after they get the degree, they'll wonder WHY they can't get a job...
Yeah, I didn't get into that whole "Department of Women's and Gender Studies" crap ... what a waste of time and money. All it does is teach women that the whole world is a male conspiracy to keep them discriminated against.
Another reason why college tuition is skyrocketing
