Our daughter went back to college yesterday. She'll be a sophomore. This will be her first year in an apartment.
Our
son has been gone for a couple of weeks. He's starting his junior year.
He also turned 21 this summer. To say I'm looking forward to this year
with a certain amount of trepidation would be an understatement.
My grandson left earlier this week for his freshman year at college.* Granddaughter is starting high school this fall.
Suddenly I'm feeling old ... very, very old.

It's complicated. I have an older son from an earlier marriage. He's
43. His kids - my grandkids - are 18 and 15. My kids from the current
marriage are 21 and 19. My current wife was almost a grandmother before
she was a mother.
The good news, however, is that we are again empty-nesters!
Shot Down.

Yeah, but it's worth it ... sort of ... I think...
