Actions Speak Louder Than Words

UPDATED - As Steve points out in the comments, this information is not correct. Go here for the true story.

I usually try to verify items like this before I post them, but in this case I was in a hurry (plus I wanted to believe it.) I've learned my lesson.

- - - - - - - - -

I can't vouch for the accuracy of this, but it certainly captures the essence of the man.

In the last 69 years since D-Day, there have been only four occasions when the President of the United States chose not to visit the D-Day Monument that honors the soldiers killed during the Invasion.

Those occasions were:

1. Barack Obama, 2010

2. Barack Obama, 2011

3. Barack Obama, 2012

4. Barack Obama, 2013

This year we mark the 70th anniversary. obama will be somewhere around Normandy this year, but only because he's already near there for the G-7 summit.

It captures the essence of the man, but unfortunately, it's not accurate. http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/dday.asp
If it was true, I'd like to pass it on (I had intended on doing so), but passing on something that is false only gives our opponents something else to say, "see, see, you have a knee-jerk hatred of him".
