The list of all the other scandals and failings of his administration that he was unaware of until he read about them in the papers is lengthy. Here's a few samples.
He didn’t know the Justice Department was trolling phone records of members of the U.S. media. He didn’t know the ATF was running guns into Mexico; didn’t know the NSA was spying on the German chancellor; didn’t know the Obamacare website was a disaster; didn’t know the IRS was targeting conservative groups.Oh yeah - don't forget the four dead Americans in Benghazi.
Taken to the extreme, here's something else barry didn't know about until he read it in the papers.
Obama Stunned to Learn He’s President
Responding to recent allegations that Barack Obama is president of the United States, putative White House press secretary Jay Carney stated he was looking into the matter. “We found out about Obama supposedly being president from reports in the media, just like everyone else.”The above is, obviously, tongue in cheek. But it is a spot-on synopsis of his modus operandi when confronted with yet another scandal.
Appearing briefly at today’s news conference, Obama stated, “I’m madder than anybody to learn about this. If true, this is completely unacceptable. I won’t stand for it; I won’t tolerate it. Not a smidgen. Period.”
Pressed as to whether Obama, now aware that he’s commander-in-chief, would finally take action on the numerous scandals and failures plaguing his alleged administration, Carney emphasized Obama will first call for an investigation to get to the bottom of the troubling allegations. “He will not rush into this with incomplete information like his supposed predecessor. He will approach this in a deliberate, judicious manner. To this point, he’d been reliably informed that he was simply a member of ‘The Real Presidents of Washington, D.C.’ reality show. So, understandably, we’ll want to see what the investigation yields before acting.”
Asked by Ed Henry of Fox News why an investigation was needed when there had been two relatively well-publicized presidential elections in the last five years, Carney, who’d just announced his departure from whatever, retorted to the delight of the other members of the White House press corps, “Obviously, Ed, those reports were primarily driven by your network, and, frankly, have been seized upon and politicized by Republicans and other extremists. Those of us in the reality-based community want a bit more evidence of Barack’s alleged presidency.”
Each time Mr. Obama is faced with a scandal, he does three things: First, he expresses outrage (he is, after all, a man only of words, not deeds); then, he blames his predecessor, George W. Bush; finally, he wraps the entire mess up in bureaucratic red tape — a blue-ribbon investigation.Of course, the real reason for all those 'blue-ribbon investigations' is not to find out what really happened, or to hold anyone accountable. No, the real reason is to make it appear that something is being done, while in reality barry is counting on the notoriously short attention span of the American public. In just a few days some celebrity will do something stupid, and the media will be full of stories and commentary about the latest Kardashian wedding/divorce/affair, or Justin Bieber's most recent stupid behavior, or whatever.
Sadly, it seems to be working.
Shame on us...
