Daylight Savings Nonsense

Well, I'm partway through the annual foolishness known as Daylight Savings Time. In my humble but all-knowing opinion, DST is a waste of time, effort, and energy. Others may disagree, but what do they know?

(Seriously, go here for a nicely balanced discussion of the pros and cons of DST.)

Regardless, the two images below do an excellent job of illustrating how I feel about it.

In fact, Daylight Savings Time is so fantastic, why not have it the whole year round?

LOL, good points and originally it was to 'save' electricity... Didn't quite work out that way though!

Very few government programs ever work out the way they were intended to...

I was thinking about shifting the clock 12hours forward twice a year.

We'll wait till the end of next October to begin.

That way we can go to work at midnight in the winter and it'd be as bright as noon.

And get a good day's sleep because it'll be pitch dark at noon.

Then at the end of March we could swing round the other way.

And it would shorten the year by one day.

Betcha the Obama organization will give me millions for the idea since it falls under stimulous.
