Whoever thought it was a good idea to hire foreigners who aren't fluent in English as call center operators should be shot. We've all been there. Stuck in call center hell with someone who is, shall we say, English-challenged. Nothing too outrageous in that post, right? Just a mini-rant against a call center staffed with people who speak English as a second language (more or less).
Here's what some brain-dead liberal replied.
...it's not that person's fault they were hired. blame the companies that send these positions to the developing world, the nations (like this one, among countless others) that have brutalized the developing world and forced them into a submission that renders these people no other options than to apply. How do you go from a complaint about hard-to-understand call center employees to brutalizing the developing world and forcing "them into a submission that renders these people no other options than to apply?" And what the hell does that even mean, anyway?
They walk among us .... and vote ... and reproduce.
We're doomed.

The people working there think we are all stupid. Since we tolerate it, they must be right.
Called my computer security provider to ask a technical question. Got a Bangalore babe who's accent I couldn't understand, but she announced her name was: "Joan".....I was jokingly going to ask: "Joan", you sure? I could have sworn I was answered by a "Dot".
Cue in HANG UP and call a friend who is very computer savvy and got my question answered.
WSF/Toejam - no argument with the frustration of dealing with a no-nothing speak-nothing phone drone. But IMO the bigger issue is the fools response blaming the rest of the world for brutalizing those poor hapless call center employees.
What am I missing here...?
