Was It Something I Said?

While checking site traffic info, I found the following:

Domain Namesenate.gov ? (U.S. Government)
IP Address156.33.15.# (U.S. Senate Sergeant at Arms)
ISPU.S. Senate Sergeant at Arms
Location
Continent : North America
Country : United States  (Facts)
State : Maryland
City : Silver Spring
Lat/Long : 39.0521, -77.015 (Map)
LanguageEnglish (U.S.)
en-us

This visit occurred shortly after I posted comments about the recently passed (and woefully misnamed) finance reform bill. Since I know that the federal government wouldn't be interested in anything I had to say, its attention must have been drawn by the links to other, more subversive sites.

Paranoia strikes deep...

Paranoia will destroy ya!

The Sergeant at Arms is in charge of all computers and IT, so it could have been from any related office in Silver Spring, MD. Did they spend a lot of time on your site? Visit multiple pages? It's kind of cool.

Interesting. I didn't know that.

Whoever it was only visited one page . Spent about 30 seconds there. Don't have any idea why, unless someone up there has a program that searches for references to specific legislation, congresscritters' names, etc. Maybe they're trying to get a feel for public opinion about the financial reform bill...?

All Senate related IT, I should have specified.
