Once Hurricane Alex made landfall last week, most people lost interest. However, the remnants of Alex continued to move WNW, dumping large amounts of rain in the Rio Grande's watershed. As the Rio Grande rises, Texas-Mexico border cities are being flooded, international bridges are being closed, and the river is becoming impassible. In one short week Alex has done more to impede illegal immigration than obama and several presidents before him have done in decades. (Story here.)
Now there are reports of freshening tropical activity in the same region of the Gulf that spawned Alex. Preliminary predictions are that it will follow a similar path.
If it does, obama will probably sue the weatherman...
