The other day a friend of mine said he was working his fingers to the bones. That brought to mind this song, from one of my all-time favorite performers.
BB - No I didn't. I was also saddened to learn while I was searching for this song that Hoyt died of cancer in 1999 at the relatively young age of 61.
Added note: it seems he was an early (and enthusiastic) pioneer of medical marijuana use to relieve his pain. One story said he died with a smile on his face...

Hoyt Axton was one of my favorites too. "Della and the Dealer" being my favorite. Did you know that he was born in Duncan, OK?
NFO - true words...
