Just got back from early voting. Granted, I live in a conservative part of a conservative state, but there was an aura of energy and excitement at the polling location that I haven't felt in quite some time. Lots of cars with Romney stickers, lots of chatter while waiting in line, overall a general sense of shared purpose and 'let's get this done.'
Hopefully that will be repeated nationwide...

I voted absentee, can't get home in time to vote...
Good for you. Life on the road sucks sometimes, but at least you got to vote.
I don't know the end of week numbers, but as of 5 pm Tuesday night, our little polling place had recorded 1130 voters (our population is 3200, but as you know, early voting you can go to any county polling place).

I didn't know that. How do they handle local races (sheriff, county judge, etc.) if you vote early in a different county?
When they qualify you as a voter, they are also looking up your precinct number to give you the correct ballot. They get it right about 80% of the time.
